We have remained at the forefront of our industry over the past 30 years. In 2004 we opened our £7m Louth facility which is the most highly automated workwear laundry in Europe.
Automation has been used not only to drive down costs, but also, through the development of ground breaking garment tracking and control software, to provide a far greater flexibility to the service that we can offer you.
Every garment is fitted with an electronic chip which can be read automatically in our process. Information specific to your garments allows us to customise the laundry process and distribution to your specific requirement. For example you may wish us to undertake a specific repair or alteration on one or more of you garments. We place an electronic “flag” against the garments involved, and next time you send the garments into us, the flag informs our operator of the actions required. The flag remains set until the operator confirms the action is complete.
After washing, all garments are automatically folded and bagged, and placed in an automated un-manned store. Your garments will collect in the store until the evening of despatch. This allows the maximum time for us to ensure that we have undertaken any repairs on your garment and ensures that we return all garments to you in the correct turnaround time. This is in contrast to most other laundries that pack immediately after washing, and have difficulty in ensuring that repaired garments are returned in the correct consignment.
Bagged garments are sorted immediately prior to packing in despatch. This allows us to arrange your garments in the correct sequence for distribution to wearers at your site. Normally this will involve sorting the garment by locker number order, but may require sorting by size for pool stock applications or perhaps wearer name.
Garments are delivered back to you using our own fleet of modern vehicles.
